Ferro manganese (FeMn) is primarily an alloy of 70% to 80% manganese and iron. It is produced by smelting manganese ore with iron in a blast furnace or electric arc furnace. The alloy typically appears as a granular or lumpy solid with a grayish metallic luster and a density ranging from 7.3 to 7.4 g/cm³. Its melting point is approximately 1,200°C to 1,350°C, depending on the manganese content. %
