CEMENT OPC

High-Alumina Cement is a type of cement characterized by its high alumina content, which provides it with high resistance to heat and chemicals, making it ideal for applications requiring such properties.

The composition of High-Alumina Cement typically includes a high percentage of alumina (Al2O3), usually ranging between 40% and 60%, giving it different properties compared to regular cement with lower alumina content.

Uses of High-Alumina Cement include:

  1. High-temperature applications: It is used in the construction of industrial furnaces, chimneys, and smelting furnaces due to its ability to withstand high temperatures without losing its structural integrity.
  2. Chemical structure repairs: This type of cement is used in some chemical applications such as covering concrete exposed to chemical corrosion, such as chemical tanks and acid baths.
  3. Roof and pavement restoration: High-Alumina Cement can be used in roof and pavement restorations exposed to high heat or corrosion.
  4. Quick-setting cement: It is sometimes used as a quick-setting cement to rapidly stabilize parts.

Despite the benefits of using High-Alumina Cement in applications requiring high resistance to heat and chemicals, it does not have general-purpose applications like regular cement due to its high cost and some issues that may arise in manufacturing and usage processes.
